Memorial Day, 2014

Look at the Konopacks climbing around on this awesome play structure! We visited Jim's parents for a delicious fish fry and excursion out to the local park's playground.

We now know who the boys get their fearless climbing abilities from ;)

And a first trip to Stewart's Root Beer! Above, the boys split a root beer float. Below, Ollie chows down on a hot dog.

Just hangin' around in a tree. Then takin' a little nap...

Little League, 2014

Trenton's team this year is the Brewers. They've come a long way this season, slowly making progress, and learning to play the game. Below, T proudly displays the Game Ball-- he was awarded it after a particularly great game.

Oliver LOVES t-ball. He hits pretty well off of the tee, and continues to work on hitting when the coach throws it. He also fields pretty darn well.

This weekend, we went to a Blueclaws game. Trenton holds up a t-shirt that someone caught and passed off to him. Same happened with a ball from the game, and a free french fry coupon for Oliver. Score!!!

Ft. Lauderdale

Why thank you, Spirit Airlines, for offering a fantastic deal on flights from AC to Ft. Lauderdale this May. Along with some hotel travel points, my savvy husband took advantage of this opportunity to suggest a Floridian getaway. And the grandparents all said YES to babysitting! Woohoo!

Below, the Marriott.

There was this neat gigantic chess set. Of course, Jim whooped my arse.
But look how adorable he is with this toothy horsey piece. (A knight?)

Awesome little restaurant that was well reviewed and located right across the street from our hotel. Clams on a half shell.
And for table-side entertainment: IGUANAS!

That thing was huge! And sitting on the ledge right next to us! Check out the muscular thighs as it jumps through the air when told to 'scat'!

How was the weather in FL you ask? Well, Day One was excellent, resulting in lots of suntanning sunburning as well as frequent dips in the ocean. Day Two RAINED. HARD. So we watched a lot of Sportcenter. Day Three was cloudy. Rented bikes and made our way through the city.

EXCELLENT crepes at some little French restaurant. Some kind of creamy stuff on the strawberries and bananas and NOMNOMNOM it was delicious. Jimmy enjoyed his espresso with the tiny spoon.

And Day Four was windy as all heck. Seriously, it had to be very close to the kind of wind you get just before some kind of crazy hurricane. Couldn't stay on the beach because the sand would rip you to pieces. So we chilled, poolside. Did a lot of reading, a lot of Pina Colada sipping, and a lot of just hanging out. Nice vacation. Thanks, babe ;)
