Keeping Busy On a Snow Day

Our buyers are scheduled to close tomorrow! WOO HOO!

Yes, it is going to snow.

So what do you do to kill time?
First, you can start by raiding the refrigerator.


Then you can make sure the babies are nourished.

And give those kids some exercise with a piggy-back ride.

Or you can just spend time in the toybox!

January Trip to the Aquarium

This was Oliver's first time at the Jenkinson's Aquarium in Point Pleasant Beach!
We had told him that we were going to the aquarium, and explained it as "a place with lots of fish!" His reply? "No 'quarium. PET STORE."

His eyes were HUGE and his excitement great as he shouted at the fish behind the enormous glass.

We spent some time with our good friends, Harrison and Jonathan while we were there. T and Jon wore the same popular Lego-Batman shirts... coincidence!

We were there in time to watch the seals get fed and have their teeth brushed. We also watched as the lady fed the penguins. Below, the boys were bold enough to touch each creature!

We'll be back next year... half price deal in January keeps us coming each year.

Finger Paintin'

This is the 'before' shot. I should have gotten an 'after' one... After they painted on all the paper, I let them branch out and decorate the newspaper. T got that new smock for Christmas, and it came in handy. Washable finger paints, but still...

Ah, but still. Still no word on the closing of our old house (other than the fact that all of the buyer's paperwork is in order and submitted)... there always seems to be a holiday or a snowstorm that delays things... We certainly hope that we can close this week, before the semester heats up and more bad weather prevents us from having an easy move. I have learned to be more patient then I ever thought I could be. Moving is definitely an experience...

Barron's Second Birthday

We spent Saturday celebrating Barron's second birthday. Oliver LOVED the frosting on his cupcake. Didn't care so much for the cake part... :)

All four of our boys are getting so big. Remember when they were this small? Lotsa growing up in one year.

Jen chose a robot theme, which was unique and popular. The boys made out like bandits with the candy from the pinata (translation: Momma's got a lot of Reeses to eat).

A Family Dinner

Ah! A familiar scene...

We invited the Konopacks of Milford to join the Konopacks of Howell/N.Brunswick and the Lacinas for dinner! I made a Pad Thai, mom had cookies and fruit, and we all had a good time with the kids.

Update: still no definite closing date on the old condo... we've been out for over two weeks now... still hoping to close on new home by the end of January, but that is contingent on the completion of the other sale... prayers and thoughts are welcome! For the time being, we are happy to be able to stay in a warm, supportive home-- thanks Mom and Dad!

New Year's Eve, 2010

Another successful New Year's Eve celebration in the greater-DC area!

We spent a night with Cathy, Zak, and Nora in MD and then two nights with the Bluesteens. Like last year, we showed the kids a You Tube clip of the ball dropping in Times Square. Then we got down to business.... Above, Ethan enjoys some sparkling grape juice.

Yes, they all fit around the table.

Nora was quite the trooper, holding her own with all of those boys.

The following day we were treated to a wonderful dinner at the Curtis home. Below, the little guys play Nana's piano.
