Ready? Set? Play Ball!

...Tee Ball, that is.
First game/Opening Ceremony was rained out last weekend. But we still got a few good shots of Trenton trying on his uniform.
He's very excited to play on a team, and has great confidence in his hitting skills.

Cathy, Zak, and Nora got this wonderful Makeado Box-House-Building Set for Trenton for his birthday. I put it together this week and the kids had a blast playing in it and decorating it. The tabs can be removed and saved for future play.

Finally, many thanks to my dad for coming over last weekend and helping to put together our NEW swingset! The boys absolutely love it, and it completes our new home, for sure.

Random is Cool

Smile if you are a reader!!!

Make a crazy face if you are wearing Mommy's slippers, your brother's old Easter hat, and no pants!

Gotta love good lighting...

Old Neighbors, New House

We invited our 'old' neighbors over for dinner and to see the new house. Trenton and Oliver miss Christian and Logan terribly. It was so nice to be able to play outside (like we used to) on a warm evening.
How cool is this new swing? Criag's List, baby...
We plan on putting it on the new swing set, when we get it. But it fits fine in the tree now!

Konopack Easter

Happy Easter!
One month early!
In order to celebrate the holiday in style-- complete with egg hunting and a ham dinner-- Jim's folks invited us up for dinner this past weekend. They'll be away for the real Easter this year.
The kids saw the eggs right away when we arrived and quickly located all 50-something of them.

A little out of his reach...
Yes, they did ask me if the Easter Bunny was coming that night. I think they are over it now. They have lots of candy to keep them busy until April ;)

There's Trenton practicing his catching skills... Tee ball starts next week. Guess who volunteered to be team mom? Should be a great season!
;)

Dinosaur Garden

Yesss! We get to put together the Curious George Dinosaur Garden!

We soaked the seeds overnight and then the boys added the soil, lava rocks, and seeds to the terrarium.

We'll let you know when we see something growing... Thanks for the cool gift, Aunt Tiff and Uncle Len!

Opposite Day

Ah, the themed days of nursery school.
Last week, it was "Opposite Day". Which should really be called "Backwards Day" or "Dress Silly Day".
We celebrated by encouraging T to wear his hair up, not down, and to turn around his outfit so that it zipped up the back.
He thought he was one cool dude.

Oliver is now reading stories to himself. He knows most of the Boynton books and happily reads them aloud often.

You should hear him recite "A hog and a frog cavort in the bog" from But Not the Hippopotamus.
I'll have to get the video camera ready...

Trenton, Year Five

Once again, here are pictures of Trenton in his Illini t-shirt. Check out photos from years past in these links. ;)
