April

Jenks Aquarium trip

Spring Break, spending time creating ceramic items at the painting place at the mall.

Also spent good time working on his Knowledge Expo project: Board Games. Created his own Sonic Board Game.

This is what can happen if your friend gives you a winning lottery ticket for your birthday!
$150, baby!

Fooling around with Alex and Ellie and chalk

School trip to the Franklin Institute

Baseball season begins. Pee Wee this year. A kindergartener on a team with first and second graders!

Had to take a picture of our "secret shortcut" that we walked through every day, from Anna's house to ours. Many thanks to Anna for watching the boys after school most days for me while I worked!

Oliver's Spring Fling

20150402_131905.mp4 from Sheryl K. on Vimeo.

Oliver had the most amazing Kindergarten teacher this year. Mrs. Meyer used a combination of things to increase the chances of success for every child in her class. Oliver was challenged, laughed and sang, asked great questions, and learned to work so well with others.
Above is a video from their outdoor Spring Fling party.

The Trip that Wasn't... and PrEaster/Pi Day

Come on, guys! Let's get packing! Gonna travel to NewOrleans and Daddy's gonna run a race in MS! It will be your first time on a plane! We get to miss school for three days! And it may be warmer down there... or at least there won't be snow!

They are completely useless.
;)

The night before our trip was a massive snowstorm... we drove through a 'State of Emergency' to get to the airport. Our flight had been rescheduled for later in the day. Boys kept busy feeding pigeons old cookies and running around on the escalator (until airport lady told them not to... note to EWR: get a children's play area set up, seriously).

Waiting, waiting, waiting... Waited on the plane for two hours.
And then, we realized we were going to miss our connection. And be stuck in TX should the plane ever leave EWR.

So, we just... stayed in Jersey.
Kids had a blast sledding at the hill by the library.

Trenton got to play in his last basketball game of the season. Got his first basketball trophy, too.

And the weather eventually got weird. Like, wear a t-shirt and there is still snow on the ground. But I sent them out anyway, for the fresh air. Here's their compromise.

We celebrated Pi Day (3.14.15) with the Konopacks, enjoying a fantastic Easter dinner. The boys made some bunny crafts with Grandma, Bryan, Caroline, and Aunt Carolyn.

Guys and Dolls PTO bowling event was a huge hit. Thanks to Grandma Lacina for bowling with the boys while I took care of coordinating the event.

And finally, Jim and I made it out for a relaxing Chocolate Lovers Weekend in Ocean Grove. I'm a sucker for 1) the beach 2) free anything 3) free chocolate and 4) spending quality time with this guy ;)
