Oliver Sings "What Does the Fox Say?

I am so sorry that it has taken so long to post this... I think we recorded it about two weeks ago now! Anyway... I don't think the popularity of this song has waned just quite yet... So, here you go!

Oliver's Fifth Birthday Party-- Costumes!

Check out all of these cuties and their awesome Halloween costumes!
Justin, Trenton, Katie, Tyler, Desi, Connor Aiden, Nick, Lucy, Payton, and Marleigh
Jackson, Oliver, and Evan -- all smiling for a picture to wish our astronaut a happy birthday!

The kids were determined to take this massive spider off of the side of the clubhouse. They succeeded.
They were also determined to totally have a BLAST fooling around with Jim and the Bongo Ball.

There was a ghost scavenger hunt in the backyard, ghost bowling and the bounce house in the front yard,

arts and crafts,
and "Pin the Eyes On the Ghost" (his idea). Lotsa pizza and ghost cupcakes.

This was actually the nap he needed to take BEFORE the party. Ha! He had an 'epic' time. :)))

Oliver's Class Visits Twin Pond Farm

Gorgeous day for a field trip!

Ollie and his friends from preschool met at a local farm for a fun-filled fall excursion.

The kids were excited to go on the reeealllly sllooow hayride.

There was a hay bale maze, a corn maze, some cookie and cider tasting, a huge cornucopia to climb around in, and pumpkins to select from.  He's decided that he wants to paint his this year, not carve. OK!

Monmouth Homecoming, 2013

Here's Trenton's Zumba class. Their most recent 6 week session just concluded. He was pretty happy that there was another boy enrolled this time (a fifth grader!), although he'd still be just fine shakin' his groove thang if he was the solo male.

On Saturday, we went to Monmouth to watch the homecoming football game. MU was playing Cornell, Jim's alma mater. It was fun to watch, with an excited crowd. Grandma Konopack came with us, which was great! MU won.

We met up with a few friends, too. Payton (next to Ollie) and her sister Reagan, and a few other cutie pies.
Afterwards, we took some nice pictures near Wilson Hall.

Windy Beach Day

This weekend the Bluesteens came up from VA for a visit. On Saturday, the moms went out for lunch and did some shopping while the dads took the kids to a movie and played basketball. On Sunday, we headed out to Point Pleasant for a Chowderfest (which was cancelled) but, instead, put the kids on a few rides and flew kites on the beach.

This ride makes me sick to even look at it...

The boys LOVE each other so much. We're lucky to get to see them so often! They're all getting so big.

Happy Day Farm

This weekend, we visited Happy Day Farm in Manalapan. It was FANTASTIC-- I can't say enough great things about it! Everything was family friendly and for one price, we got to do a few hours of outdoor fun activities. (Except pick pumpkins. It was so hot, and the pumpkins were not included in the price... so we'll do that another day ;)

Hayride pics!

They had these giant blow-up horses that the boys hippity-hopped across the track. And these other awesome swings that were made out of tires. Tractor and horse-shaped.

And then there was the huge playground full of corn kernels. Oliver just LOVED being buried in that!

Pig races & cheesy jokes. Ollie was thrilled that the orange-collared pig won both times.

This gigantic pillowy thing was awesome for jumping! Both boys loved it. The pedal cars went around a little track and there were bigger ones for the adults.

The corn maze was interesting... We walked around for at least 15 minutes and then were able to figure out where our location was on a map. Let me tell you-- we were not even close to getting through the entire maze! And then it hit me that I was feeling a little claustrophobic and did NOT want to be walking around any more & getting lost!
There was also a petting zoo and some awesome duck-racing opportunities.

Everyone loved launching some corn cobs into the air!
