There are some creeks that run right through town, leading to the local reservoir and/or out to the ocean. For a long time, I've wanted to take the boys exploring. Even bought new boots for T.
Then one day, I somehow had just T to myself for a few hours... and we decided to GO!
Amazing public property, although very much grown in with grasses/weeds.
Totally curious about this rusty-colored water. Pretty stagnant.
It was enough to pique our interest in wanting to come back again. Now, when we drive over the roads that were created to go over these creeks, T smiles, and asks, "Mom, remember when we went exploring there?" ;)
