March, You Are Such a Tease...

Holycow it was like, 60 degrees this week. And not too windy. And the sun was out.
Phenomenal.
After gymnastics, we played at the park in Manasquan with a friend. Then Ollie says, "But Momma, I can SMELL the beach from here!" So of course we HAD to go.
There is a lot more sand here than there was last summer... the beach is vast. I'm betting that the replenishment project is complete. And there is a more extensive playground for the kids.

At Science Club this week, Justin, Oliver, and Jackson experimented with dyes. They took the coloring off of some candies and then added it to coffee filter papers (along with some marker-dye). After dipping the bottom half of the paper in a salt-water solution, they watched as it was absorbed and the dye colors ran... and separated. Very interesting.

Getting some much-needed outdoor playtime with his buddy, Tyler

And this is how they chose to spend their final few minutes before bedtime: playing Tinkertoys.
Oliver had built two towers of differing sizes... T made some kind of Star-Wars inspired hover craft.
PS: It is now 20 degrees, with a 50 MPH wind chill of FOUR.
