Here is what Oliver has been doing for the last few weeks...
Each Tuesday, he practices his gymnastic skill in class with this little cutie, Gracie. And now that the weather is warm, we've been having playdates at parks around town after class. So get this! The friendliest squirrel ever came right up to our picnic table, and practically demanded to be fed! Good thing the mommy packed nuts!
Kids were very good at chasing the squirrel. But squirrel must have been hungry, because he KEPT COMING BACK!
These pictures were all taken on Earth Day. We lucked out with AWESOME WEATHER that Tuesday. Below, Oliver and I explored a local cemetery. He thought it was cool, because it is neatly tucked away, out of view from the highway and local roads that run above it.
After picking Trenton up from school, we returned to Allaire State Park with our new boots and exploring gear, and a few more friends. The boys had a BLAST tromping around in the little creek area.
Kids + Nature = Organic Exploration = FUN LEARNING!
AND he had KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION! Geez. So now, it is for real. He rode the bus! Got to hang out in a classroom! Received a new pennant for his wall! Below, he smiles with Tyler. Below that, he's at a local hospital for a field trip. Trying (in vain) to hear the hearbeat of the babydoll ("Can't hear it, Mom, because it's just a doll!")

Oliver is one awesome kid. Love you, buddy, and am totally grateful that I had this "extra year" home with you. You're one smart cookie and are going to have a fantastic time in Kindergarten. Momma loves you ;)
