A Konopack Summer!

Squeezing a summer's worth of fun into a few short weeks!

Jim's folks are in between vacations... and we were lucky enough to spend some time with them over the past few weeks! During one visit, we went to the local ice cream place and also took in a round of mini-golf!

 The kids had a BLAST.
This week it was a trip to the Trenton Thunder game!
It was an excellent game... but wicked hot!
Oliver insisted on swinging the bat a few times. He was good! Look at that form!

T got a new hat. Ollie got pink cheeks. None of us got a sunburn, thank goodness.
And Jim and Jason got a half-dozen balls to thrown on the field (into those hula hoops) for a prize... The game was over in 10 innings and we were all given free Wawa coupons at the end!

Baseball, ice cream, and mini-golf = Awesome time with Grandma and Grampack!

MD/DC/VA Trip

Once again, we were off gallivanting in the DC area... too much fun! Many friends! Great weather!
B-shwaw!

We spent the entire (10-5) day at the National Zoo. So did a few thousand other people.
Chris, Jared, Marcus, and Ethan were able to meet up with our boys and Nora.
Needless to say, the boys were ecstatic to see their cousins.

The animals were not very showy.  I forgot that most of the time, in the summer, they are hiding out somewhere, trying to stay cool. Makes it hard to see them. But here are a few that we caught on camera.

 Elephant!

Turtle!

Monkey and her baby!
 Giant Panda!

Nice orangutan. Not long after this picture was taken, he became annoyed with the audience, and turned his backside to the window...

Orangutans outside! No high-wire tricks this visit, though.

 This zoo is HUGE!

Many thanks to Cathy and Zak for hosting us this weekend... Zak made AMAZING crepes that I've yet to replicate... Nora is just adorable ;)
We drove out to Fredericksburg, VA to visit with my cousin David, his wife Jen, and their son David. The salt-water pool was AWESOME and very warm. I had never been to their home before, and it was beautiful! Jen made a fantastic fish dinner, too. It was great to spend time with them!

David was  a great kid-sitter... kept the boys busy... as did their two dogs.

The end.... looong drive home.

"Lap Sitter!"

Oliver just climbed onto my lap and cried, "Lap sitter!"
He likes to be in on the action while I blog.
Here are some random shots from the past few weeks:

Sittin' in the shade, enjoying some watermelon...

A weeknight at Jenks... Checking out the rooftop golfing...

Oh yeah, baby... beach days are comin'

Guess who can ride a two-wheeler now!? Jim took him out to the school the other night... and he got it down pat in about 15 minutes.

Trenton is very proud of himself. And we are proud of him ;)

Swim lessons have begun! T and Ollie enjoy a private lesson together.
