That's Jim's gift. Folded money that looks like a shirt and tie! Mom's always coming up with creative ways of getting him a present without actually getting him a present ;)
I took my mom to tea on Friday to celebrate her birthday. She's had a rough month (two funerals and a week-long babysitting spree with my kiddos). We absolutely loved the formality of The Lillagaard. Set in a Victorian-era bed and breakfast in Ocean Grove, the basement serves lunch and tea a few times a week, and is open for private parties. We each got our own tea kettles full of tea (mine was White Pear and her's was a White/Green Tea blend). Very nice!
Ah! Now this is Jim's birthday morning. T was so excited to have him find this 'card' in the closet. He'd been keeping it a secret for a few days, and honestly, probably forgot about it... He started to paint "H-A" on the bottom middle of the paper before I noticed and redirected him... so Dad had to read this one from the bottom up. ;) Can you see the birthday message on the window? We used those special markers. Ollie drew yellow spirals on the bottom and T made a race car.
I told Jim he HAD to pick a cake, as we needed something to put a candle in to sing to him. That's how we ended up with a pumpkin pie in July. For breakfast. Ha!
