Each year, our church does an egg hunt for all of the kids in the community. Members donate candy, and they re-use the eggs. We helped stuff some of the eggs a few days before the hunt & the boys loved that.
Here's T, pictured above, with his buddy Shaunn, and Oliver and Edward (looking kinda odd) below.
Oh you mean THIS is how many eggs I can have?!
That's Alex behind him in the pic below... he decided he was going to ONLY collect green eggs-- he gave the other ones to Ollie!
OMG Ellie is getting so big... she turns one this week. Alex, Ellie, and their parents Anna & Dave have become good friends and neighbors-- we love them!
Jason came down this weekend to spend time with us... and he created this AWESOME rocket ship with T.
And then it was Easter! Awake at 6:13 and demand to find the eggs!
Yes of course HE came!
Any chance we can get a few more minutes of sleep?
Nooooope.
Sneaky rabbit. In the laundry room with this basket.
Trenton got a kick out of the 'noise putty' that was in his Easter basket. Oliver got a new Leapster game. Both boys also found bug nets, kickballs, and more candy than they should be able to eat in a year.
This beautiful tulip was growing in the front yard for awhile now. When we went outside this morning, the darn thing had snapped and broken off! Too heavy? Hungry squirrel? Who knows.
But we used it to pose for a few pictures anyway.
Quite a few pics of us squinting. Next year, we have GOT to stand in the shade, and probably should try to put our own house in the background... ;)
Pictures outside of church... below, Ellie kept us company during the service.
The children's choir sang one song... although both boys like to sing, neither wanted to be part of the choir. Maybe soon?
I boiled the eggs the day before, but totally forgot to tell the kids to dye them! So we kept on our Sunday best, and just threw smocks over 'em... Both boys dyed a dozen eggs.
Oliver and I share a lot of stories together... in the bathroom. Today we read an old favorite. Below, we perform it together.
And the Lacinas arrived for dinner, another egg hunt, and dessert!
Look at the tongue! Just like his brother and father ;)
These eggs had MONEY in them. No doubt, the boys LOVED that.
And this is how the night ended... with half a lamb of butter and two brothers playing video games, surrounded by candy.
