Knoebels, 2012

Look at how excited these guys are!!!
Last week, we headed out to Knoebels for our annual vacation with my parents.
It was a very smart idea to arrive on Thursday. The weather was so hot, we ended up spending the entire afternoon at the large pool with the kids. Both boys were eager to try out their new swimming skills. And the place wasn't that crowded.

On Friday, we got wristbands for the kids... and all of us went on the train ride together. Below, we try to replicate Oliver's famous reaction ;)

Trenton's hand was stamped "over", as he is now over 48 inches... although at first glance, he thought it said "Oliver" and corrected the man who was stamping his hand... "I'm not Oliver! I'm Trenton!"

Oliver did NOT like the roasted marshmallow. HA!

Trenton loved watching the puppet theatre... he even noted to Jim that it was the same production that they put on last year ;) Below, he is YELLING at the wizard, letting him know that the chicken has put a whipped cream can in place of a hairspray can (long story).

Oliver stayed far, far away from that puppet show. But watched it the entire time.
He remembered that at the end they squirt the audience with a water gun.

Mini-golf was T's favorite thing last year... above, you can see Oliver swinging above the ball ;)

Totally "clowning around"!

Oh yeah! Did I mention that my brother came up for the day with Tyrone? It was AWESOME to ride the Twister with Len in the FRONT CAR!!!

Oliver was insistent that we play a round of the "Dog Pounder. Even though Trenton won (a small stuffed dog), Ollie did not want to play a second round and try for his own win. He was just really into POUNDING the balls. One time.

The best part about the campsite we had this year was the creek that ran right behind it.

Trenton spent all morning on Sunday looking for crayfish in the water with Jim and my dad.

 

These are the exact kind of experiences that I hope our kids will have during their childhoods ;)
