Today is Veterans Day. The weather was gorgeous and New Jersey's state-wide memorial service was held at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Site, near PNC Bank Arts Center this morning.
Oliver was a very good boy, all dressed up in his warm bear suit. Together we listened to veterans young and old recount their experiences and share their stories. Events like these should be required for all Americans to attend.
There was a significant show of support from the Harley Davidson crowd... I don't know if they sponsor it or what... but it sure was nice to see so many people. In addition, four soldiers were honored posthumously for their service, dying from conditions that were war-related, but not fatal during their time in service.
Yes, he's in there somewhere...
It felt weird to drive today! I think it was my first time in like, 12 days or so. This was Ollie's third trip out of the house. On Sunday, we went to Target and to church. With Trenton gone, there is such quiet in the house... Jim and I are going to see Madagascar 2 in the theater tonight. Why not, right? Chances are, it won't be crowded and the baby will sleep through it. Cross your fingers...
