We took a nice day trip into the city, partially to remind our children that there are other cities out there (Trenton calls everything "New York")
Translation: Dave and Tanya, old friends of ours from Illinois, were in town for a conference. They brought along their kids, Gabriella and Isaiah, and we hatched a plan to meet up at the Academy of Natural Sciences for the morning. Chose this one for a few reasons: 1) Relatively inexpensive 2) Butterfly exhibit 3) Outside-in exhibit and 4) DINOSAURS.
Can you see the owl eyes on those two? Neat, right?
Here we are with the stroller brigade... Trenton has a dino claw on his head... some big fossils... the kids participated in a fake dig in a neat replica of an archeological dig site... powered a treadmill to run like a real dinosaur... checked out fish from above and below... looked at honeybees in their comb... and screamed at a rabbit. (that was just Ollie)
All in all, we had a fantastic day with our friends. It was great to see all of you guys!
