Yesterday we went into New York to accompany my mom to her doctor's appointment. She was seeing an internal medicine doctor who specializes in holistic approaches to cancer pre-treatments. He gave her some good information and supplements to take.
It was an all-day affair and, needless to say, we were all pooped last night.
Below is a picture of Ollie in the stroller. I had to bring the double stroller, two blankets (it was 46 and windy), and a well-packed diaper bag. We parked in Hoboken and took the PATH over, then walked waaaay downtown to visit my cousin, Jen. The walking was nice, but I ALWAYS prefer doing that in the later spring/summer/early fall. But at least it was not raining!
Jen's new apartment is great! With these floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson Bay, the boys were able to watch the barges float by and the taxis whizz past on the streets below. That's a view of Jersey City in the background.
Trenton and Brayden played with all of the toys available, including this bike. We're hoping to come back in the nicer weather and meet up at a park.
We also got to see Kevin briefly, ate lunch at a California Pizza Kitchen (surprisingly, very good) and walked for at least fifty blocks... but the camera was securely tucked away.
One other funny: Trenton saw a mailbox that was covered in graffiti. He says to me, "Mom, look at that funky mailbox! It has smart words on it." Ha! I was giggling so hard, all I could muster was, "Yup!"

Love those hardwood floors and views! Jeez, the baby boy:girl ratio among our friends and relatives is astronomical.
